National Day of Prayer Gathering

Thursday, May 2
7:00 pm

This year, the National Day of Prayer celebrates 73 years of prayer for America! We are blessed to live in a country where, by law, on the first Thursday of May, our President proclaims a day of prayer for our nation. Join with us and the millions of believers across the nation, as we cling to the truth found in 2 Samuel 22:29-31, and LIFT UP THE WORD - LIGHT UP THE WORLD.

For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him. 2 Samuel 22:29-31

This event is designed to be family friendly, so bring the whole family, worship the Lord, join in prayer for our families, churches, businesses, education systems, arts and media, government, and military/first responders. Come and experience the difference God can make in our lives and the lives of others when we pray.

Find out more about the National Day of Prayer Organization at https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/.

Good Friday Service

IT IS FINISHED!

Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.”  A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19: 28-30

Join us for a special night of worship, communion and reflection on our Lord’s victory on the cross.

Are you interested in becoming a member of WCN? On Sunday, October 10, we will welcome new members. If you are not an official member and would like to learn more about becoming a member, please contact Pastor Dale.

What is Church Membership?
At West Chester Nazarene Church, Membership is a commitment to support and participate in the mission of WCN and in the global church of the Nazarene. Those who are followers of Jesus and are willing to lock arms with brothers and sisters in Christ around the world to accomplish the mission God has given us are encouraged to join the church. Governmentally, church members elect lay representatives (church board) to lead the congregation. Joining the church is also a way to make your voice heard in important matters such as, electing a senior pastor, buying property, building buildings, and more.

If you have any questions about church membership, doctrine, ethical issues or polity, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Alabaster Offering

Sunday, September 26
9:30 am or 11:00 am

The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. While we understand the church consists of the people of God and not a building, buildings erected for the purpose of ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to "put down roots."

Give to Alabaster online at https://give.nazarene.org/donate/f/126593 or pick up a box in the foyer and fill it up! Bring your filled Alabaster box to church on September 26 and place it in box on the Missions’ table or place it in the drop box in the back of the Sanctuary.
