As a kid, adventure can be easy to find. Whether it’s playing outside or imagining and dreaming up something new, kids know how to find the fun and adventure that can come from living out who God created them to be. The goal of our children’s ministry at WCN is to partner with parents to help kids live out God’s story as an everyday adventure. Our services and programs are designed to help kids learn they are created by God, loved by God, and to help them see they have a part to play in God’s story. This story goes way beyond the walls of our church building. We believe that every day God is inviting us to live His Great Adventure in our homes, our schools, and everywhere we go.

Following our story, we have a time of response to ask ourselves, “What is God saying to me?” We have a lot of fun in kids’ worship as we discover what God has to say to us!

Services for our elementary students take place on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm (throughout the school year).June - August there are no regular Wednesday night activities.

Crew

Our 5th and 6th grade leadership team is called Crew. Preteens involved in Crew help serve during our Clubhouse Worship service and also meet once a month after Sunday morning worship. Our goal is to help our 5th and 6th graders develop leadership skills and grow in the gifts God has given them.

Community Events

We love connecting with kids and families in our community! Events WCN Kids’ Ministry sponsors every year include Eggstravaganza, VBS, and Fall Fest.

Safety

Your Child’s Safety is Important to Us!

You’ll know our team by their blue name tags! This means they have been through our Nazarene Safe training background checks.

Check in for kids begins 10 minutes prior to service times.

From your child’s first visit, we will collect some basic information to get to know your child and enter them into our system. From then on, you can self-check at the registration counter.

Both you and your child will receive a security sticker with a matching code, valid only for that day. We ask that you make this sticker visible when picking up your child so we know each child has been safely dismissed.

We ask that kids who are sick do not attend in order to ensure the health of the other kids in the ministry.
